Happiness: sewing pouches

Historically, before TV came along, every woman in a household would have a small sewing pouch to med clothes while listening to the radio in France. They were made from leftover fabric.

My friend Evelyne and I, both with a passion for vintage fabrics decided to team up and create something useful out of something old. We came up with ‘a sewing pouch’, inspired by a find on a Brussels flea market. As a first project we try and replicate this pouch in vintage fabrics, adding a personal touch. This adorable pouch is ideal to keep in you drawer at the office, in you handbag when you have a feeling something is going to pop or simple at home. This small pouch is made from seventies cotton curtains material.

For sale on Etsy.

The perfect gift for sewers.
